You will receive your login details within 10 minutes of registering for a course. If they don’t appear, please check your spam or junk folder.  

If you are still unable to locate them in your email, please contact us at priacademy@unpri.org.

In the “Organisation name” field, enter “Individual” and for “Organisation type”, select “Other”. 

If the organisation you are employed by is a PRI Signatory, you are entitled to a PRI Signatory discount. To access this, you will need to include your work email address and the Organisation name. 

If you are having trouble with online payment, email priacademy@unpri.org and include: 

  • your name and email 
  • the course(s) you would like to enrol in 
  • the billing address for the invoice 
  • the contact email for the invoice (if different) 

Our Finance department will send an invoice within 1-3 business days for payment via bank transfer. 

We offer these discounts: 

  • PRI Signatories: 20% off 
  • Full-time students and NGO’s: 30% off 
  • Group discounts for enterprises.

If you change your mind within 14 days of purchase, email priacademy@unpri.org for a full refund (less any fees charged by an online payment gateway or bank).  

To process a refund, we require the following details: 

  • Course name 
  • Payment date 
  • User Email address 
  • Invoice number 

For payments made by bank transfer, we require the following additional details: 

  • Bank name 
  • Billing address 
  • Account name 
  • Sort code 
  • IBAN number 

Refunds after 14 days, or those for partially completed courses, are discretionary and may include an administrative fee. To cancel, please email priacademy@unpri.org.  

We will issue the relevant refund using the same method used for payment; allow 7-10 business days to receive the refund. 

Payment is required to access the course(s).  

We have demo’s available for the following courses, which you can try before you purchase. 

Course prices exclude VAT. VAT will be added at checkout, where applicable.

Yes, you can access the courses on your phone or tablet. 

Prior knowledge is recommended only for the Advanced RI Analysis course, which is designed for investment professionals familiar with the investment process and ESG, as it focuses on integrating sustainability factors into financial modelling. 

The three foundational courses cover the fundamentals of responsible investment, so there is some overlap in content. 
 
We recommend starting with Responsible Investment in 60 Minutes for all employees to establish a baseline understanding and common language across your firm. Understanding ESG and Applied RI can then be introduced to specific teams requiring deeper knowledge. 
 
Alternatively, some teams may skip Responsible Investment in 60 Minutes and go straight to Understanding ESG or Applied RI, as the key frameworks and definitions are consistent across all courses. 
 
Many users begin with Responsible Investment in 60 Minutes and progress to either Understanding ESG or Applied RI, which works well for reinforcing concepts.  

However, we do not usually recommend taking both Understanding ESG and Applied RI due to significant overlap. Instead, choose one based on the level of expertise your teams need. 

Each individual or organisation will have varied specific needs; here’s a general guide based on different job roles the courses are typically suited to. 

Beginners in Responsible Investment: Responsible Investment: Responsible Investment in 60 Minutes and Understanding ESG provide essential sustainability and governance knowledge. 

Investment Professionals: Applied RI for practical ESG integration; Advanced RI Analysis for in-depth ESG data use. 

Board members, Trustees and C-Suite: RI for Boards and Trustees.

Specialised Roles (e.g., Alternative Investments): ESG in Alternative Investments covers ESG in unique asset classes. 

Nature/Biodiversity/Climate Focus: Nature and Biodiversity for Investors and Climate Risk for Investors addresses these evolving areas.

Our courses are updated regularly to reflect the latest developments, regulations and methodologies. Applied RI is the most comprehensive course for learning about current regulations. 

Courses are accessible for 12 months from when you receive your login details.  

If you need more time due to extenuating circumstances, please email us at priacademy@unpri.org before your course expires.

The following course is available in French. 

  • Responsible Investment in 60 minutes 

On successful completion of the course, passing the assessment and submitting the end of course survey, your certificate will be emailed to you. Allow up to 30 minutes for delivery, as occasional delays may occur.  

If you haven’t received your certificate after this time, contact priacademy@unpri.org for further help. 

You can retake the assessment as often as needed before the course expires. If you don’t complete it within the access period, your access will expire, and you will need to contact us to re-access the course (reactivation may incur an additional fee). 

Courses are generally available for 12months, though this may vary based on specific organisation requirements.
